After the official reveal that there will be a Redmi note 8 2021, everything looked so promising and at first I thought there would be a major jump from the 2019 champion to 2021 budget king but it seems that Xiaomi has no plan for that but at least due to the specs setup it should be cheaper than most phones at the same specs range.
Xiaomi is known to bring quality products at a fair price and this is not an exception. If you look at al the Redmi note 8 2019 model specs, you will realize that it was a very powerful phone. The build quality was amazing from the front to the rear. They are still bringing the same this year with that 2.5D glass back design with gorilla glass 5.
The front will feature a 6.3 inch FHD+ LCD display with gorilla glass 5 protection. It is the same as the Redmi note 8 2019 with the dot notch cut-out for the front camera. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G85 11nm processer clocked at 2.0GHz and Mali-G52 MP2 graphics processing unit. Out of the box you get MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. You get an option of 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage
For the cameras you get A 48MP Wide angle, 8MP Ultra wide shooter, 2MP Macro lens and a 2MP Depth sensor. Rear video stabilization is capped to 1080p@30fps and the rear camera itself can shoot up to 1080p@30fps. The front camera is a 13MP shooter which can record up to 1080p@30fps
The battery here has 4000mAh capacity and has 18W fast charging support. Xiaomi will include a 22.5W fast charger inbox which a norm for them nowadays. For security purposes, the Redmi note 8 2021 is equipped with a rear fingerprint scanner and also an option for face unlock. NB: Face unlock is not the safest security option unless stated otherwise.

The 3.5mm headphone jack is still available, Dual 4G support, Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi, Linear motor and IR blaster.
