The 2022 KCPE results have been released by education CS Ezekiel Machogu today at Mtihani House.
A total of 1,244,188 Standard 8 pupils from more than 28000 exam centers sat the exams that were done between 28th November and 30th November. This year’s best score was 431marks with 0.01% of the candidates i.e 9443 candidates scoring 400marks
50.2% of the candidates scoring between 200-299marks out of the possible 500marks while 307,756 scored between 300 and 399. 296,336 candidates scored between 100 to 199 while 724 candidates scored below 100marks. According to the CS, 252 candidates in 9 centers got zero in papers they cheated on but swill still transition to secondary schools.
More than 7000 examiners were involved in the marking process who were complimented with the optical recognition machines using multiple choices.
To get the results:
- Send an SMS with the students index number followed by the initials KCPE without any space between them to 20076.( For instance if the pupils index number is 12345678 then you will send 12345678KCPE to 20076 ) The code works for all mobile service providers including Telkom. You’ll be charged 25ksh.
- You can also check the results via the KNEC website. It is however jammed due to the current traffic directed to it currently.
The KCPE results will also be collected form sub county education centers.
