Infinix has officially announced their latest phone in the market the Infinix Note 12 series packed with up to 108MP main camera and 120W fast charging. The phones will be the successors of the Note 11 series from last year. The series includes three models but so far only three have been announced in Kenya that is the Note 12i, Note 12, and the Note 12 VIP. The Note 12i starts at Ksh 20,999, Note 12 starts at Ksh 27,999 while the VIP version starts at Ksh 41,999.

The phone has a 6.82″ HD+ 90Hz refresh rate. Inside is the MediaTek Helio G85 12nm processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Storage can be expanded using the dedicated MicroSD card slot. Out of the box, the phone comes with Android 12-based XOS 10.6.

To the camera, the Note 12i packs a triple rear setup comprising of 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a QVGA sensor. The rear camera can shoot up to 1440p@30fps. The front features an 8MP shooter with a 1080p@30fps video recording limit. Other features include dual speakers, a 3,5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C. Everything is powered by a 5000mAh capacity battery that fast charges at 33W. For security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Infinix Note 12 G96 specifications

There are two versions of the Infinix Note 12 and that is the Infinix Note 12 G96 and G88. In Kenya, we get the G96 version which comes with a 6.7″ AMOLED display. The phone uses the MediaTek Helio G96 processer could with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage expandable via a dedicated MicroSD slot.

The phone comes with a triple camera setup comprising of a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a QVGA sensor. The rear camera records up to 1440p@30fps videos. The front features a 16MP shooter that records up to 1080p@30fps videos.

The battery here has 5000mAh capacity supporting 33W fast charging with a charger included in-box. Other features include USB Type-C, Bluetooth, 2.4/5GHz WiFi, Dual speakers, and a 3,5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint scanner is side-mounted to the power button for easier reachability.

Infinix Note 12 VIP specifications

This is the top-tier model of the Note 12 series available in Kenya. There will be a 5G version coming soon.

The Note 12 VIP packs a 6.7″ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 700nits peak brightness. Inside is the MediaTek Helio G96 12nm processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GBof US 2.2 storage. Storage can be expanded via the dedicated MicroSD slot. Out of the box, you get XOS 10.5 based on Android 12.

The camera which is one of the takeaways of this phone packs a triple camera setup comprising of a 108MP main camera, 13MP Ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The rear cameras can record up to 1440p@30fps videos. On the front, you will find a 16MP selfie shooter that can record up to 1440p@30fps videos. Both the rear and front cameras can shoot 1080p@60fps videos.

Although this is an AMOLED display, the fingerprint scanner is still side-mounted. The Infinix Note 12 VIP comes with a 4500mAh battery and charges at 120W which as per the company takes 17 minutes to fully charge the phone.

Other features of the Note 12 VIP include Bluetooth, 2.4/5Ghz WiFi, Dual speakers, a 3,5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C.
