Microsoft Event: Microsoft announces 2nd-Generation Surface Duo 2 with 5G and Better Cameras.

Microsoft announced the Surface Duo 2 at the Microsoft Event. This is the company’s second take at an Android powered foldable smartphone. The Surface Duo 2 retains the design of the first generation device, but this time, Microsoft is using a current processor, supports 5G and has bigger screens.

The Microsoft Surface Duo 2

The Surface Duo 2 has two 5.8-inch 1344 x 1892 OLED displays connected by a 360⁰ hinge and both have a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and paired with 8GB or RAM, with 128GB or 512GB storage options.

The triple rear camera system on the Surface Duo 2

The 1st gen Surface Duo had a single camera above the right screen, and this time round, Microsoft added a triple camera system on the outside. The wide, ultrawide and telephoto cameras all have 12MP resolution, with the wide and telephoto lens featuring optical image stabilisation. The Surface Duo 2 also supports the Surface Slim Pen 2, which can be magnetically stuck to the outside of the device.
