Qualcomm the chipset-making company has its own Insider program where you get to know more about their products and get a first look into what’s in the making. Currently, they have partnered with Asus to bring a phone exclusively for the insiders. The phone is basically designed and built by Asus but with products from Qualcomm.

It comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and corning gorilla glass victus protection. They have used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processer coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On release, it will have Android 11 out of the box.

To the cameras, you get a 64MP+12MP+8MP rear setup and a 24MP front shooter. The main camera array can shoot up to 8K videos at 30fps and supports 3-axis electronic image stabilization. On the back is a 3D sonic sensor Gen 2 fingerprint scanner that as per Qualcomm works very fast with both dry and wet fingers.

The battery used here has 4000mAh capacity with Quick charge 5.0(65W) fast charging technology.

Other features include dual stereo speakers, up to 6Ghz Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 5.2 technology, NFC, 5G Sub6 bands, and 5G mmWave bands

Pricing and availability

The Snapdragon Insiders phone hasn’t been officially launched and is listed on Qualcomm’s website as coming soon. At launch, the phone will feature in-box earbuds and it is expected to cost around $1,200.

It is expected to first be available in the USA, UK, China, and Germany then more countries will follow up.
