Qualcomm Technologies has announced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, delivering the most sought-after 8 series capabilities to more Android flagship smartphones, for extraordinary, premium experiences.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform features some of the latest premium-tier platform specs including support for powerful on-device generative AI features, an always-sensing ISP, hyper-realistic mobile gaming, breakthrough connectivity, and lossless high-definition sound.
The platform supports a broad array of AI models including popular large language models (LLM) such as Baichuan-7B, Llama 2, Gemini Nano, and Zhipu ChatGLM.
The platform uses a 4nm TSMC process with Adreno 735 GPU, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. Also coupled together is the Snapdragon X70 5G modem, BlueTooth 5.4, WiFi 7, and USB version 3.1 Gen 2.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 supports displays up to 4K@60Hz and QHD+@144Hz. The camera support maxes out at 200MP and the battery will support up to Quick Charge 5.
As per the company, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be adopted by major OEMs including Honor, iQOO, realme, Redmi, and Xiaomi, with commercial devices expected to be announced in the coming months.
