Xiaomi Kenya has today announced the revamped model of the 2021 Redmi 10 to the Kenyan market. Dubbed the Redmi 10 2022 edition, the phone comes packed with similar specs to the previous model. The launch comes a few days after the Redmi 10A was announced locally.
For the specs, the Redmi 10 2022 comes with a 6.5″ FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate punch-hole display. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Inside is the MediaTek Helio G88 12nm processer with Mali-G52 MC2 graphics. Out of the box, you get Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 same as the Redmi 10A. The phone packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with an option to expand using a MicroSD card up to 512GB.
On the rear side of the phone is the 50MP quad-camera that comprises a 50MP main camera, 8MP Ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth camera. The main camera can record up to 1080p@30fps. The front houses an 8MP selfie shooter that can record up to 1080p@30fps. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery that charges at 18W but Xiaomi has included a 22.5W fast charger in the box.
For security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an option for face unlock which is not the safest way. Other features include dual stereo speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, an Infrared port, and an FM radio.
Redmi 10 2022 pricing
The Redmi 10 2022 comes in Carbon grey and sea blue color options in Kenya. It will be sold for Ksh 19,499 for the 4GB/64GB variant, Ksh 21,499 for the 4GB/128GB variant, and Ksh 22,799 for the 6GB/128GB variant. It will be available in Kenya from today.
