Samsung Galaxy S21FE now official for $699

The much awaited Galaxy S21FE has officially been announced with some amazing borrowed specs from last years Galaxy S21 flagship series.

Samsung has today January 4th introduced the much-rumoured galaxy S21FE to be available on sale from January 11th. The S21FE stands for the fans edition which is usually Samsung’s way of giving better specs from that year’s flagship at relatively fair pricing.

The phone comes with a 6.5″ FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display which features 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning gorilla glass victus.

Under the hood is the 5nm snapdragon 888 64bit processer coupled with 8GB/6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the Galaxy S21FE comes pre-installed with ONEUI 4 based on Android 12.

To the cameras, you get 12MP Ultra-Wide, 12MP wide-angle with OIS and an 8MP Telephoto triple rear camera setup. The front features a 32MP selfie shooter.

Everything is powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging with wireless power share also an option to juice up other peoples devices. As per Samsung’s new move, the charger will not be available in-box and so you will need to purchase one separately.

An optical fingerprint scanner is included for security purposes but you also have an option for face unlock. The Samsung galaxy S21FE comes with IP68 dust and a water-resistant rating.

Price and availability

The phone as stated above will be available in-store from January 11th but that is subject to different regions. For Kenyan availability, we have not received any information but it may be available by end of January. The phone starts at a price point of $699 which is for the 6GB and 128GB variant.
