Sony today has added another phone on the Xperia series the Xperia PRO-I oriented to professional phone photography and videography. Of recent, their main focus of the Xperia phones has been on the camera but not excluding top-end hardware.
Xperia PRO-I specifications
The phone comes with a 6.5 inch 21:9 4K HDR OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus while the rear has a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processer coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage which can be expanded to 1TB via microSD. Out of the box, you will get Android 11 pre-installed.
To the camera, the Sony Xperia Pro-I features a 12MP 1-inch sensor main camera, 12MP telephoto, 12mp ultrawide, and 0.3mp TOF 3D sensor. The front camera is an 8MP shooter. The rear camera can 4K video at up to 120fps and 1080p video at up to 240fps while the front takes only 1080p at 30fps. Both the rear and front cameras feature 5-axis EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) but the rear camera has additional OIS (Optical image stabilization). The main camera can output 10-bit RAW files. Also included is eye autofocus for both videos and stills.
The phone comes with a 4500mAh battery which supports 30W fast charging which Sony says can fill your battery to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, Dynamic vibration system, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C 3.2 which doubles up as a display port that outputs 4K/60fps, IPX8 water resistance, IPX6 dustproof, and 2.4/5GHz WiFi.
Sony vlogging monitor was also announced today and costs $199 dollars which includes a phone mount, magnetic monitor, and a cable to connect the monitor to your phone.
